Family Hub is a shared home base for your family — grocery list, budget, meal plan, chores, and more. You create an account with an email address, and everything your family adds is stored securely so every family member sees the same information. We do not sell data, we do not run ads, and we do not share your information with third parties except the services that make the app work (listed below).
Family Hub works on an invite-code model: everything your family enters is one shared record, visible to every member of your family group. Anyone who has your family's 6-character invite code and a Foster Hope account can join your family and see its shared content — so treat your invite code like a house key and only give it to people you trust. Parent wellness check-ins are visible to the adults in your family group and hidden in Kid Mode, but they are part of the same shared family record.
Kid cards are designed for practical, low-sensitivity information only: a first name, sizes, favorites, and gift ideas. The app asks you not to enter medical information, case information, legal names, or birthdates beyond a birth year — please honor that. You control everything entered, and you can edit or delete a kid card at any time.
Family Hub accounts are for parents and guardians (18+). Kids may use the app on a parent's device in Kid Mode, which limits what is visible; the app does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Information about children (such as a kid card) is entered and controlled by their parent or guardian.
Two features use AI: the grocery "paste a list" sorter and the trip planner. When you use them, only the text you typed into that feature is sent to Google's Gemini AI service through our server to generate the result. We do not send your name, email, or the rest of your family's data with these requests. AI trip plans are ideas, not verified facts — the app tells you to double-check details.
You can delete your account any time in Settings → Delete my account (or see delete-account instructions). This permanently removes your login and your personal profile. Your family's shared content remains with the other members of your family group; if you are the last member, you can leave and ask us to remove the family record entirely at fosterhopefamily@gmail.com.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new effective date.
